Heart on Ice.

David Wakeling

When your partner cheats on you, you don’t die.
Your heart simply gets frozen forever.
In my case I took my shirt off
and lay down on the floor.
I use a sharp knife and
made an 8 inch cut in the chest.
I used a sharp saw to cut through
part of the breastbone to expose the heart.
Once I could see the heart.
I carefully severed the 4 main arteries
And pulled the Heart out in one go.
I carefully stitched my chest closed and rested.
After awhile I put the heart in the freezer.
It is still there to this day.

Oh man, DW, that has remained frozen. I hope the lower bill has not added another freezing to that frozenness 🥶

Like they say and now sing… “it ain’t over til it’s over.”

Wow. A man minus a heart. That infidelity surely has created a mountain of pain. Felt this one David. Loss of trust is a killer.

Search feelings are not to be made fun of or joked about. They are deep never healing wounds that continue to bleed throughout a lifetime. A graphic and raw poem.

Emotive words David, I cannot understand why lovers cheat, I could never do it. Hope all gets well soon.
