I took my dog to see the Vet today,
to get his tag also to get his shot.
But going there was harder than I thought.
He held on to both sides of the doorway?

Ralphie he would not budge to my dismay.
Could tell by his actions he was distraught.
I yanked upon his leash but he just fought.
It was a real embarrassing display!
``
The Vet came in and slowly shook his head.
He had an idea that really sounded great.
That I could give Ralphie his shot instead.
He said he had no time to arbitrate!
``
I did exactly what the Vet had said;
my bill was cut in half, to compensate~

In case he pops in for a bite.
