To The Gym.

Goldfinch60

In this life we must keep fit.

As I get older I slow down,

So I have seen our local gym

And now go there.

Go there nearly every day,

I nearly went there Monday,

Nearly went there Tuesday,

Walked past it Wednesday,

Drove past it Thursday,

Nearly went there Friday,

Then at the weekend

I stopped and had a rest,

A rest from nearly going,

Nearly going to the gym.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I thought about going to the gym once but went and lay down in a darkened room until the feeling dissipated. We are going to see the band 'Down for the Count', the band on the video, tomorrow evening, they are superb, we have seen them eight times now and will see them every time they come to our area.

I do that all the time about a lot of different things. It wears me out just thinking about how many things I have procrastinated. Nice knowing that other people sometimes do the same.

So true soren, this thinking lark can be quite tiring.
