He says to her;
You are my only reason, still will be
when even ancient astrology is done.
When disintegration leaves no trace, not one;
you will even then ever be
when the battling in me stills to none.
Now desolate, solitary, weak from spiritual denial;
colliding with hypocrisy, tampering with the truth.
Unrealistic expectations colored by exaggeration,
dashed on the floor where reality lies fragmented;
misunderstanding misconstrued as enlightenment.
Still, he continues;
I will always treasure that brightening smile
you favored me with before the cataclysm transpired.
With the confusion and calamity that ensued,
even should artificial respiration postpones my demise,
my affection will accompany me to the other side.

There is much love and affection in your words Dan. This reader felt those emotions coming through. Lovely poetry.
Love that goes beyond this life inscribed in this poem. The first part of this poem, indicate an emotion goes far deeper than reason and lasts much longer. I love the internal rhyming as well. Most lovely poem.
