The Quiet Conqueror

arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
Be kind….
…. words don’t rewind

Lichen, you are the quiet conqueror,
Settling where others cannot,
On barren rock and ancient trees,
You weave your tapestry.

In shades of green and gray,
You whisper the language of time,
Slowly, subtly, transforming,
The places you call home.

You thrive in stillness,
In the patience of centuries,
A symbiosis of life,
In the most unlikely places.

In your intricate forms,
We see resilience,
A testament to survival,
Against the harshest of odds.

You do not boast,
You do not cry for attention,
Yet in your quiet existence,
You teach us the power of perseverance.

Another part of the master plan.

Beautiful!! Such a great metaphor and as you put it symbol of perseverance. I have watched lichens for years on rocks that they paint with their patterns. Very nice.

Oh nice, I have only occasionally done so, however much I loved botany, didn’t quite get enough opportunity to explore the great outdoors.

This, my friend is a great metaphor…and as Soren said, a part of the grand master plan! Well done, friend! Faved this one for sure! πŸ‘πŸŒΉ

Nature has an amazing capacity for endurance against the odds. That is what I see in this poem. Resilience and strength. Nice poetic expression.

A life form which has perfectly found its niche.
A poem which perfectly observes that.
