Points of light

sorenbarrett

Aging moth holes in a black canopy
beam light from far beyond
A cloud, veil of vanity
moon reflects on mirror's pond

Songs of primitive memory
played on cricket's legs
The tune of a loon in night's ebony
emerge from phoenix eggs

Star's drizzled beams
leak wisdom from above
in drips that form pools of dreams
bleeding streams of distant love

Some fabulous imagery here of darkness. That final stanza, starting with stars drizzled beams is so creative in its artistry. The sounds came through as well. A lovely piece Soren.

This is my favorite of your poems so far. Its beautifully exquisite. The words mingle like a wine tasting party. Soft on your tongue, nice on the eyes, and harmony to the ears. I really liked this write.

Thank you so much for the read and most poetic comment, These ideas happen from time to time and if I'm lucky enough to be somewhere to write them down before they evaporate then one is born. I am very pleased that you liked it.
