Our garden of love never got to bloom,
you found someone new and shattered my dreams.
This loneliness and pain now all consume.
The seeds of our love could not thrive it seems.

When you walked away my world fell apart.
Guess it's true when they say that love is blind.
You will always hold a place in my heart.

Many tears I still shed each day and yet.
Those good times we shared they still comfort me.
Your beauty and charms I shall not forget,

Brings to mind that old song (now) that goes “sowing the seeds of love…” and also now this poem has altered my view. Seeds indeed may be sown but there’s no real guarantee they would grow and mature! It puts into perspective that unrequited limbo that many if not all have experienced at some point in life’s journey, usually earlier on in the game.
