Come On, Then! Do You Want Some?

Mutley Ravishes

"Where can I find some courage?"

"You'll be in luck

If you go questing

In your guts

Stoke the digestive fire

Toast all the liars!

Then head south

There is no doubt

The force of generation

Will topple the nations

Who've been lording it

Over you

You know who

Next, head north

Into the court

Of the King of Air

If you dare. But, beware!

A lion sleeps there"

How to wake a dragon without being roasted?
How to wake a lion with being toasted?
Make sure you're carrying a loaded
        Water pistol!

A whole trove of meaning and existential intent in a grove of fun verse!

Did I write the rhyme, or did it write me?
              Thanks for the comment!

Like all good poems they may be taken different ways and so is this one. Full of metaphor, references to old books or movie it seems political in some ways but also existential in others. I guess I will have to follow my guts and the yellow brick road to Oz

You found some interesting angles on this one! Yes, follow the yellow brick road within the temple is the main idea here.

Wonderful read Mutley! This rings so nicely and, I agree with Thad, I instantly thought of the Yellow Brick Road, though we all know not to worry too much about that lion! πŸ˜‚ Or…so we think πŸ€”πŸŒΉπŸ‘

Thanks for the visit, Tristan! I'd be more worried about that lion if he didn't have much heart!

You ain't kidding there. You are welcome, my friend!
