Raining For Peace.

Goldfinch60

I lay in bed listening,

Listening to the rain

Falling from the heavens,

Cleansing our world,

Washing away our hurt and sorrow

And lining the Earth in a new coat of love,

Where pain and suffering

Are prevented from bursting its protection.

Or is it falling in shivering sorrow,

Weeping for a world gone mad,

Crying for the shame and hate,

Flowing through the world.

A place of terror

A place where love has failed,

Trying to wash away the blood

That man is pouring on this Earth.

One day the rain will fall for peace,

And our world will once more

Be a place where we will all

Make love, Not war!

Amen to that Andy. A fine piece of reflective poetry. Your posted music, took me by surprise. Usually classical or jazz, but this was really rocking. Have a great Wednesday.

Thank you Cassie. I do like rocking music as well from the seventies and before, it died in the eighties as far as I am concerned.
