Far Far Far Away,
where the rockaways reside
up to the bronx
always been grateful
full of hustlers, bustlers, and survivors
always thankful
this place
improved slowly
at a pace
corruption can’t
keep people down
only show us how to be better
still I admit
something ugly lingering
covering the stars at night… yuck

Indeed, all cities and places have their distinct characters and personalities!
What’s your favorite big city?
Hmmm… the all have their appeal and their downsides…. Let’s see, Tokyo for its convenience, London for its culture, Paris for its ambiance, the Big Apple for its frenetic buzz…. How about you?
Damn I’m going to Tokyo next month for the first time! I love me some convenience. I think my favorite cities are usually small ones but when it comes to the big ones I love LA for its food and NYC as well. I actually like Salt Lake City for how clean it is and well designed
Yup, LA is food and so it Bangkok! Never personally walked in Salt Lake City. Must go there some time!
I sincerely like the 'Yuck' at the end
Pollution seriously grosses me out
😂😂
Reminder of home is always home, enjoyed the read
Can’t ever stay mad at home, thanks Tobani
You are very welcome
Ah…NYC. Fun to visit, happy to not live there.
Anyway, wonderful poem my friend! Hope the trip went well!
It was great for sure, and yeah I’m happy to be raised there but definitely don’t want to live there. Thank you friend
Yeah. I have a friend who lives in Brooklyn. You are welcome, my friend!
I thought you were skint?!
Being broke doesn’t mean I can’t travel, thankfully I work for the airport LOL
Haha! I see you got it all worked out. Enjoy Tokyo, an old stamping ground of mine.
I’m actually thinking Vietnam might be my best (cheapest) bet!
