Look get off your ass because someone less talented is out there grinding,
That’s the person who’s gonna win because they’re actually trying,
And they decided to stop making excuses and start taking action,
When talent doesn’t show up then hard work always beats talent,
You can’t just say you’re not good at something and then quit,
You gotta become good at it cause everyone’s trash when they begin,
You study and practice and fail a lot but you gotta keep going,
Every skill and achievement starts with some Brodie,
Who was willing to look stupid and fall on their face,
But then they tried again and eventually finished the race,
Now if you don’t believe in yourself then why would anyone else,
Nobody’s gonna hand you a gold star unless you’re like 12,
You’ve gotta wake up every day and tell yourself that you got it,
Even when it feels like the world is holding you hostage,
Do you think the people who made it got there because it was easy,
At some point you know they were struggling and crying and pleading,
They wanted to quit but they didn’t and that’s the difference,
Successful people don’t have some magical superpower hidden,
They have grit and they keep going when they want to stop,
That’s the shit that seperates the winner from the flops.
