Axes, Bold as Love

Mutley Ravishes

If one finds oneself

In the human condition

But never tries

Over lifetimes

To break free from

The self-created prison

Cell

Live one's unique potential

Totally and completely

Eventually, does that make

One a candidate

To be hewn down

Like a tree that was found

To never bring forth good fruit

And be cast leaf, branch, and root

Into the fire?

Hopefully we all will bring forth some fruit, even sour fruits have their place, I love lemonaid. Nicely written

Indeed. A sour fruit is living it's potential!

      There's plenty of foliage.

For sure. Mineral, plant, animal, human, aingel.

Wonderful poem that speaks much truth. Pruning is an act of love and helps us grow into who we were created to be. Bravo, friend! 🌹👏

        • Mutley Ravishes

Thanks, Tristan. Indeed, an act of love. Here's to more growth!

I guess it is the mix of fruits that makes the world go round, enjoyed the read

          • Mutley Ravishes

The seeds are outnumbering the fruits by a long way! Thanks for dropping by.

              You are very welcome

Uhoh. I dearly hopes not. Where you perpetually amuse me, now you've up and frightened me soundly. Excellently rendered with perfect imagery and a grimly haunting poignancy, thank you very much for sharing, good Sir.

                You're welcome.
I scare myself somedays thinking about the abyss!
I'd like to give it a miss.
I'd better reach up for the sun.
Sure is a lot more fun!
