...the Rest of the "Story" or so They Say

Cheeky Missy

Now my chronic sinus infection tortures me despite the errands, ya does it?

Funny, Does Today Signify Aught?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMXXXVIII)

"...Don't panic--you do." And there goes pretense.
Whilst night is still black, or the thinning veil
Has only just begun, Thy mercies hail,
New ev'ry morning, LORD, oh our defense.
Why does a headache nag? No coffee thence
Can take it off? I've stuff tae do, in frail
'Scuse for sheer lack of sleep. Shall rest avail?
Or shall I go back out ere napping? Whence?
Day's upside down though laundry seems in tour
On schedule. Gift wrapped, phones now charging too,
I'm half mixt up. Fresh, spicy plum tea fer
A breakfast we maunt have together. Do
The math, to find I'm short. Oh LORD, demur
Not to redeem us, for we wait on You.

[Yes, I'm too superstitious, refraining from wearing any of my earrings which have snowflakes lest the white stuff....well, guess I can now.]

Where DOES the Time Go?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMXXXIX)

Light in the darkness, snow 'non blankets vale
And hill in purest white, til colour thence
Seems begs a chance to caper in defense
Of all held dear, as, tempted to avail
Us lighting up the tree at dawn, in frail
'Scuse I don't. Afternoon clears heavns fr'intents,
December looking as erst wont, trimmed hence
On ev'ry naked limb in snow's detail.
Watch ev'ning haunt vague blue skies in a tour
Of sundown like what, eh? Chill 'gins tae cue
As pink half blushes on the distance; poor
Though nary oerhead lights, guess half will do
Where gloaming haunts departing day.  Bestir
In me to will and do, oh LORD, won't You?
