Wielding Manjushri's sword
I guard the dragon's hoard
But, oh Lord!
I'm still not highly skilled
Ones that steal and kill
Get past the defenses of this novice
One day I'll have a flawless
Defense

You gonna turn into the fiend himself, eh? I believe, unless I misrecall, Eustace accomplished that in the Narnia series, simply by sleeping in the dragon's lair. I'll be the princess needing rescuing, who in lieu of such, am prey to the fire-breathing character. Fascinating and excellently rendered with a subtle poignancy and good humor. Thank you for sharing.
Well, this dragon is a friend and ally to those who don't steal from him. Who are the ones that steal and kill? There are seven of them, backed up by a legion!
Yikes!
Hope it is today. A fanciful poem that in metaphor becomes reality. Very nicely written.
Thanks Soren. Yes, today is the day. I have, not I'll have!
Very well executed friend. Love the imagery! 🌹👏
Thanks a million. Happy New Year, Tristan!
