Notice of absence from arqios

A mosaic moves, fluid and ever-changing
one-celled creatures congregate on a Petri dish
a dance of life unseen, yet profoundly felt.
I observe, familiarity settling in
the strangeness less jarring than before
yet it still boggles the mind.
Tiny worlds collide, merge, and reform
patterns emerge and dissolve
a constant flux of existence.
Each creature, a universe unto itself
…each moment
exemplifying the persistence of life.
In the silence of the laboratory
I ponder the complexity, the simplicity
the beauty of this microcosm.
It evokes a sense of wonder
a reminder of the vastness
contained within the small.

Good write A.
Thanks O ππ»π
I love your last stanza
(It evokes a sense of wonder
a reminder of the vastness
contained within the small.}
Size is relative and is infinite both ways. Lovely
Lovely review! Most appreciated Soren ππ»π
Ever since reading a Marvel comic many, many, many, many, years ago which featured for one episode only, a character called Mordar the great or the incredible who believed he ruled his universe only to be flushed away from the petri dish he in reality inhabited, by a lab technician or scientist who couldn't see anything visible or viable through his atomic microscope .. I have been fascinated by those things you have brought to our attention .. Consequently, very muchly enjoyed .. not only for the ride, but for the rush that accompanied me back to my childhood & all things associated .. Neville
Mordar rings a bell! I must have read that to sons ago. Thanks Neville ππ»π
