The old barn

Tony36

The old Barn up on the hill

They say that it's haunted

There have been many stories

The Barn was built in the 1700s

By a cattle rancher

Him and his family had great success

With their set up

But after his wife died

Things started falling apart

The cattle  were sold

But fires soon raged

Nothing left but the Barn

They say the rancher's ghost can be seen there

Lurking among the dust and farm equipment

A ghost story set in an old barn on a hill. Tale from the past about a loss that won't let go.

Good write T. I read of an old barn built about 1400, used as a church, now as a storage shed.

In a way the barn standing alone can represent poems and poetry that are the only physical reminder of the poet’s ghost, an imprint of meaning and worded expression.
