Hmm. Sigh. Guess I'll vicariously indulge and nary further, that realm beyond me, as so much is. In another angle, I daresay I and aught else may well resonate since we've each our own means of inhalation of whatever whereby we sail off dreamily far, far from here, glad to be oblivious. Fascinating and charmingly rendered with excellent imagery and an irresistible poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

🀣 Exactly my friend. That is correct. We each have our ways of inhaling and exhaling. This could have been a poem on transcendental meditation, though perhaps the language would have been more zen! 🀣 Glad that despite the cannabis references, you were able to relate and connect to the larger point. That brings a smile to this poet's face! πŸ™πŸŒΉβ€οΈ

Have worked with many on breathing exercises to relax, deal with pain and meditate. Can't overestimate the value of breathing. And breathing is necessary to take a toke. Loved the changing form in this poem that enhanced its power.

Exactly my friend. I knew you would pick up on that. If you don't mind me copying what I wrote to our friend Cheeky, above, "this could have been a poem on transcendental meditation, though perhaps the language would have been more zen! 🀣". Breathing is so important and, as we speak of this, I shared with arqios on one of his poems that I am intending on diving deeper into meditation (and breathing) this year. Thank you for your astute and valued feedback, my friend! Glad the poem and its form resonated. It was a lot of fun to write. ✍️ πŸ™β€οΈ

'And breathe....' as they say! πŸ™‚

Indeed. A vital function for mind, body and soul! In fact, the very word spirit (ruach or Χ¨Χ•ΦΌΧ—Φ·) in Hebrew means wind or breath. So...there\'s that! 🀣 Thanks for your time and engagement, my friend! β€οΈπŸ™

          • orchidee

I never get as far as finding out how to type those Hebrew letters! lol.
Yes - I entered a 'Stop Breathing for 24 Hours' marathon, to save air. I did it, but didn't feel well afterwards. lol. I may have told that corny joke before.

            • Tristan Robert Lange

That was a first time for me...so it delivered well, my friend. 🀣 As for the Hebrew, I searched, copied, and then pasted. LOL! For some reason my QWERTY keyboard is missing some of those characters. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

              • orchidee

You ever done that 24 hour marathon? lol.

I was once told that breathing controls the speed at which the mind processes and reacts, i am not sure if that is the case, i would of thought it would depend on how fit you are and what your choice of inhalation is !!, I enjoyed reading this puzzle and it has awoken my imagination. Have a great weekend

Dear Tristan. That lighter sparked some images. Never been a smoker, not only that I have never felt the need to inhale anything or even worse inject anything. I was a hippie without getting high:) As to cannabis, my grandchildren tell me, they think it would do me a favour:) I’ll just stick to my breathing exercises and relaxation music. A fun write. Have a great weekend.

Indeed. Breathing exercises are a certainly healthier on the lungs, dearest Cassie...though nothing like Cannabis-infused olive oil...ah the possibilities! 🀣 I'm a medical user for my anxiety...it has really been tremendously helpful for me; though, as with all things, what is for one might not be for another. That aside, I am glad that despite the substance (pun totally intended), this poem was enjoyable and delivered. I hope you have a great weekend too, my friend! β€οΈπŸ™

                    • Cassie58

Cannabis infused olive oil eh? I suffer from anxiety too:) Maybe I should explore further πŸ˜€

My brother πŸ˜‚πŸ˜! sad but true--seems to be easier to escape than to face it!

My sister! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Right?!?! And yet face it we must. 😭 Thank you so much, my dear friend! β€οΈπŸ™
