The Chest

In a hidden room in the basement 

I found while  cleaning 

I found an old wooden chest

Lost away in time

 

I wonder how long it had been there

Since before I bought the place

I know that

It has pirate symbols carved on it

I know the house is over a hundred years old

Could this really be a pirate's chest

Our is it a mystery even older than that

 

If I open it

Would I find gold

Or

Something to claim my soul
