Tune: Regent Square
('Light's abode, celestial Salem')
Psalm 103 v.17-22
*************
The mercy of the Lord it be
From everlasting, here see
And to everlasting to they
Who fear Him, follow His way
His righteousness unto children's
Children, they His presence sense
To they who His covenant keep
In His pasture hey His sheep
And who remember His commands
To do, people of all lands
The Lord in heaven has prepared
His throne, grace with us has shared
His kingdom it rules over all
Unto Him we may pray, call
Bless the Lord You His angels who
Excel in strength, holy, true
You do His commands, hearkening
To his word He does you bring
Bless the Lord, all you His hosts great
Ministers, servants, and wait
Upon Him, you do His pleasure
Finding in Him your treasure
Bless the Lord all places where He
Has dominion strong and free

Another great hymn to start my day, Thank you for sharing Orchi
Thanks SB.
Quite anthemic in its appeal!
Thanks A.
Welcome O 🕊🙏🏻👍🏻
Lovely take on another powerful Psalm. Not sure your musical tastes, my friend, but there is a Christian metal band by the name of Disciple. My favorite album of their's is "Back Again," kinda their "Black" album (think Metallica) if you ask me. And it's cover is literally black. Anyway, the third song on the album is 103, based on this Psalm. It's one of my more favorite songs of theirs, its another one of my favorite Psalms, and so, naturally, I love this poem, Orchi! 🌹👏
Thanks T. I suppose I\'m quite old-fashioned, though I like some other musical genres too.
You're welcome, Orchi! These guys aren't old fashioned! LOL! Though, on that album, I would be hard pressed to find you didn't like the last song, One More Time. Pure beauty.
Thanks T. Do they know older. e.g. 4th Century AD hymns? Then again, Psalms are over 3,000 years old.
🤣
Awesome
Thanks T.
You're welcome

a really captivating

Thanks T.
