forget me not

NinjaGirl

a pretty flower cries

too delicate to die

dont forget me I pray

earnestly I might say

I'm not quite ready

and sure it's petty

I hope I burn you alive

the thought of me drives

you insane I hope

you won't be able to cope]

the blue flower in your mind

relief you never will find.

How beautifully rendered and with a haunting poignancy and imagery so delicate, I almost catch my breath. Once again I wish to know what that particular flower looks like, as I'm more acquainted with the violets, of which I am, were I a flower. Thank you so very much for sharing! Love you.

A flower that is toughening up and about to seek revenge, A haunting piece

This poem dives deeper into the psychi of memory, The desire to be remembered for all that is good and the desire to forget all that is bad. Even the desire to be remembered for pain and sacrifice as opposed to be forgotten for not suffering, The idea of mayrterdom begins to enter and its eternal cementing in the memory of man. This poem bleeds perfume of the violet crushed on the heel. A very philosophical write

Love this piece. It's about time for the flower to pluck back! I love the vibe this poem has...the taking back of what has been taken. Hauntingly beautiful and poignant, my dear friend! 🌹👏 An easy fave for me!
