Driftwood

Mutley Ravishes

All the voices

In my head

Love to say "stick it!"

To the sound of crickets

They say "sayonara"

To the song of the cicada

They say "yes" to refined sugar

"Honeybee? Too much work for me"

Drive one dental going mental

A fun read that conveys well the modern mindset and how accustomed we have become to modern living. Well done

Thanks, Soren. I can often hear the sound of the cricket during a breathing exercise. Later on I lose awareness of it. Oh well….

The mind and the surroundings, the distinctions and the indistinctive blendings… thoroughly enjoyable read M. 🙏🏻🕊👍🏻

That noisy mind! I must pay less attention to it.

        • arqios

But is there such a way as to tame the mind… mmm… 🤔😊🕊

Well, I guess it’s a case of not identifying with the thoughts that arise. Most of them are “negative,” or simply flotsam and jetsam, don’t you think?
As for taming it, perhaps we don’t need to tame it. Instead, redirect all its energy towards our high ideals?

              By all means redirect! 👍🏻

Thanks,Tom. It was partly inspired by the NF song “Drifting.” Take a listen if you’ve the time.
