Celebrating has been put on delay,
for us it's not a day of cheer.
Having Christmas here is not the
same, when our families aren't near.
Returning to our homes and loved
ones would have meant everything.
Instead our tour's been extended,
we won't return till spring.
Sorrow engulfs me at this moment,
there's a feeling of despair.
Tears fall upon this foreign ground
as I say a silent prayer.
Make this world a better place God
not just for me, for everyone.
And give me the strength to carry
on, there's so much to be done.
Sorry we can't celebrate with mirth
this holy night of Jesus birth.
Dear God, let us all live together
in peace and harmony on earth.
And let there be an end to all war
that we could find a way.
Your power is divine let it shine
upon us all, this Christmas day~
