The infernal haze

LP2187

Under a pale and calming sky

I walked along the sandy shore

My feet gliding like gentle clouds

Tracing patterns in the grains of dust

A dreamlike vision of smoky fog

The landscape of the summer’s haze

And through the alluring mist and haze

Past the darkness is a beckoning bright sky

Humid memories hanging in the thick fog

As I tread on and along the murky shore

Holding my breath to stop inhaling dust

Eyes fading like milky white clouds

Thronging and lurking are devious clouds

Deceit fills the beach with a creepy haze

Blackened ash circulating the diseased dust

High above is an ancient, raging sky

Unleashing its crazed fury onto the grim shore

Fear spilling about like an impatient fog

Distorted and wavy entities hiding in the fog

Heavy, sour gloom drifting with the grey clouds

Death masking the ragged, dim shore

Screaming in my eyes was the same haze

Barricading the rays from the once lit sky

Forbidding peace shattered to dust

Wretched smells like shivering dust

Surging through the settling fog

Burning fires glimpsing in the sky

Sparks and embers silenced by the louds

Hope censored by the swarming haze

I’m crawling to hell alongside the shore

Beating down on the worn shore

Is the deadly sun illuminating the dust

I’m shoving past the obscure haze

Strong, sweeping winds slaughtering the fog

The bleak winter brings on tragic clouds

Harshness floods the petrified sky

The sky draping wearily over the shore

Above are dying clouds, below is thin dust

Sinking into the fog, lost in the infernal haze
