Notice of absence from LP2187
will be gone for a week
will be gone for a week
Fear rips me apart
Terror coursing through my veins
I am all alone

This should resonate with so very many it could be graven in stone everywhere, and then we'd find out, perhaps, that we're not entirely alone. Yet maybe not. Excellently rendered in appropriate brevity with a gripping poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much for you kind words, I really appreciate it. It took me a while to find that I wasn't alone... perhaps if I wrote this then I'm still trying to realise that.
Being alone can be so debilitating. Iβm not sure that anyone is a hundred percent introverted.
Thank you for your comment, I agree. I am very introverted but I do think no one at all can really thrive in total isolation. Although solitude can be enjoyable, it can be difficult to endure.
So true! And you are welcome as always ππ»π
This is actually a senryu just to share my knowledge because it speaks with emotion rather than imagery, and wow what a senryu it is, perfectly executed the emotion is raw. Beautifully done, and in my own life there have been times I've truly felt this way physically and mentally. πΉ
Thank you so much! Never knew the difference between a haiku and a senryu. But thanks again for your feedback.
What a powerful senryu this is. Forceful and powerful in its weakness it presents the angst of the world modern or primative where in the past we found security in numbers but today we find only isolation in the masses
Thank you very much, that is very true. Past security, present isolation.
A senryu which packs a punch with the emotion delivered. It can be frightening to think that you are totally alone. So very isolating. Many people are in this position, especially the elderly.
Thank you for your feedback, yes I agree, it's just frightening to think about it (for me).
Powerful and felt.
Thank you very much.
Me too! Well done, my friend. An exquisite senryu that I can relate to. I am sure not to be the only one. πΉπ
Thank you very much! If everyone can relate then maybe we are not alone then...
Exactly! The reality of aloneness: One feels so alone in a world full of people feeling alone. Youβre welcome, my friend! πβ€οΈ
short and simple, small and powerful
Thank you!
Maybe not. We see this, read this, are closer to you.
Very true, thanks.
yes, even in the midst of a crowd, this does happen
let's hope it does not overstay, but gives way to serenity and peace soon
enjoyed it
Thank you very much
most welcome, have a good day
