Tune: St Bees
('Hark my soul, it is the Lord')
Psalm 27 v.11-14
*********
Teach me your way, O Lord, lead
Me in a plain path I plead
Because of my enemies
Who oppress me, would me seize
Give me not over to them
And so I shall praise you then
They speak lies, do violence
But I will trust in you hence
I had fainted, unless I
Had believed your presence nigh
And to see your goodness' store
In land of the living sure
Wait on the Lord in faith, be
Of good courage constantly
And He shall strengthen your heart
Wait on the Lord, choose good part

Thank you for buzzing in this wonderful hymn-poem set to St. 🐝🐝 🤣 Another fine one, my friend...and theologically speaking, isn't 7.7.7.7 like perfection in metre?
Thank you T. I don't actually know if there was a St Bees! lol. It's a village name in the UK though.
