Tune: Church Triumphant
('The Lord is King, lift up thy voice')
Psalm 30 parts
*********
Sing to the Lord, you saints of His
Find in Him your contentment, bliss
Give thanks too at remembrance
Of His holiness, pure presence
For His anger it does endure
A moment, then His mercy sure
And in His favour there is life
His help through earthly trouble, strife
Weeping may endure for a night
But then comes morning's promised light
And joy comes, tears are dried, rejoice
For they who make the Lord their choice
You have turned for me my mourning
Into dancing, new hope you bring
My sackcloth, mourning garments you
Have put off, gave me gladness true
So that my tongue may sing praise to
You, be not silent, worship you
O Lord my God, I will thanks give
To you who save me, I shall live

Indeed, with the resurrected sun/Son in the coming Dawn, morning brings about the end of mourning and the culmination of Joy. Powerful, dawning hymn-poem, my dear friend! 🌹👏
Thanks T. I suppose day and night here can be literal and metaphorical. You got any sackcloth?! heehee.
