Will you be ready

David Wakeling

Awake all attend to the trumpeting,
The time has come for everyone to sing,
Slumber no more the day is almost here,
Lift your voices to a glorious cheer,
This is the day the archangels sang for,
Beckon and gather your friends to the door,
Will you dare to dream of your redemption,
And embrace the gypsy in ambition?
Be ready when Love bashes your door in,
And demands your wide-eyed attention?
