It hurts, you know?
No.
I suppose
You
Would not know.
You
Shoot bullets carelessly.
You
Tongue-target me.
You
Refrain from showing respect.
You
Lag not in laughing at me.
You
You
Think I’m ignorant,
Unaware, unworthy
Of the love you show
Others.
It hurts, you know?
No.
I suppose you wouldn’t.

Good write T.
Thank you, Orchi! Much appreciated! β€οΈπ
This very much reminds me of when i was married, completely unaware of the hurt she was causing, enjoyed the read
Thank you, my friend. Indeed, it is so painful to be hurt in such ways. Much appreciate your time and thoughts. β€οΈπ
You are very welcome
A poem percieved deprication by one that should be important to the narrator. It speaks to many or our inner selves that feel neglected and overlooked. Nicely written
Thank you very much, my friend. Glad it delivered. β€οΈπ
No, they don't know how it hurts us
Nope. They don't. And they don't care too, either, for the most part. At least in my experience. Thank you so much for reading, getting it, and engaging, my friend. β€οΈπ
Excellent write Tristan
Thank you, Tony! Much appreciated! β€οΈπ
You're welcome
Have you heard the story of Hakuin (Japanese Zen priest) and the baby he supposedly fathered? That guy was on another level!
If a stranger says something "hurtful" to us it's not usually such a big deal. If someone we love says it then it's a big deal, isn't it?! I think this is one of the biggest challenges we face as people. One I still struggle with!
Yes. It hurts a lot more when it comes from loved ones, for sure. I had not heard of him, but I will be looking him up now. So thank you for pointing me in his direction, and thank you for your time and engagement, my friend!
Awww, a very
touching, poignant π’
and heart breaking write! π
Skillfully expressed my friend!!π―
Best regards βοΈ peace Thad
Thank you, Thad! Glad you felt the emotions and that the poem delivered, my friend. Much appreciated! β€οΈπ
What Iβve observed in such βentanglement β is that they choose to be somewhat close by but never participate in or build the other or the relationship, always with the upper hand and most possibly always calling the shots, taking for granted the other who makes up the tandem. ππ»ππ»π
Indeed. My experience too, my friend. Thank you for your time, interpretation and engagement. Always appreciated! β€οΈπ
Whomever inspired this pretty number sounds like a number of individuals who recklessly abandon others to the edge of life, aptly conveyed as lacking any concern for the same. Beautifully rendered with a painfully haunting poignancy. Too many should resonate with this.
Sadly, you are right. Too many probably will. Thank you so much, my friend. Have a great weekend!
