This shithole
That I live in
I criticise it
Everyday
When it’s
Really just
Me viewing
The world
Because it
Seems like
A shithole
Perhaps it’s not
I always thought
That one day I
Would fight and fight
To leave this shithole
But where would I go
Where would I hide
What if I find
Another shithole
So maybe this place
Ain’t that bad
What if I can just live
In this shithole

Ahh, a bad hair day?!
Oh, you guessed it! Wish I was bald.
No worries about the language, shithole you might feel today, but it`s better than no where to live, hope you have a good evening
Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback. Have a good evening too.
You are very welcome
The germ of poetry in your soul looks past the ugliness on all sides into the mists for hope and the trail to yonder. Anyone can see the trash abounding and wretched characters spoiling all. That said, excellently rendered in variable stanzas with sparse imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
You're very welcome.
If you have a roof over your head, it’s a start. What’s that saying - from little acorns grow huge oaks, or something like that. Keep focused. Have a better day tomorrow.
Thank you very much, much appreciated.
Wherever we go
Our states of mind follow
Us
There's no escape
So let's face
Them!
Yes, to fight fear we must act!
A friend said to me, "the ego is nothing but a bunch of fears." I would add to that a bunch of cravings born from ignorance. I have struggled mightily with fear in this lifetime. How do I deal with it now? Transmutation, awakening Imagination, self-observation and non-identification with it (i.e. "this is not me." "this too shall pass."). I also try to ask, "What is it showing me about myself?" The answer I get is, "Your faith is severely lacking. Work on it!"
Fear can be so overwhelming, but we need to know that it isn't part of our true selves. No matter what we can all lose faith but it is something we can work on. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! "Your faith is your fortune," as a wise man once said.
Hey, you can at least decorate your hole...even if its just by buying yourself a fun drink lol
