Fire and Ice

CuriousWanderer

I am a raging snowstorm

The northern lights lighting up the sky

The smolder of embers in the hearth

Lit by your spark

You are a torrent of flame

Your colours turning night into day

Your fire sets my world ablaze

Melting my frozen heart

My home is the cold and the dark

Jagged mountains and cliffs

Plummeting into the roiling sea

Nature, raw, untamed, uncaring

Your home is in the sand

Heat, spice and passion

The burning sun beating down

Traditions bound

Variety is the spice of life

And opposites attract

But yet, as different we are

Are we not also the same?

Cuddles and kisses

Laughs and smiles

Tears and hugs

We share just the same

You are Fire, I am Ice

Shrouded in steam as we kiss

Yet your embrace

Is my favourite place
