Consumption

Mutley Ravishes

Is it not clear by now?

Beyond the shadows of doubt

In the centripetal hours

If one doesn't let Paradise

Consume one

Then the only fun

That remains

Is to gradually go insane

Insatiably consuming the bounty

Of the Earth and the body

  • Comment from author about the poem: I am not advocating insatiable consumption in this rhyme. What might feel like "fun" in the short term is short-lived, to say the least.

If that is insanity then count me in. A great write

Thanks, Soren. However, your response is a little confusing! From my own experience, insatiably consuming the "bounty of the earth and the body" brings pain, so I'm working on being consumed instead!

Understood. It's the immediate pleasure that I was talking about

Short term high, long term pain, clever writing, enjoyed the read

The power of temptation is phenomenal, isn't it?! So much work to do....
