Voice of darkness.
The voices simply speak to me at night.
Darkness appears to always be about.
I really would want to attract the light.
I hear what all the darkness has to say.
I am an old man that wants to be proud.
The emptiness has come to be normal.
At the same time awakening your fear.
Your soul finds its drowning in sorrow.
Voices that no one else wants to hear.
It’s a mind always in constant trouble
Are the voices something I should fear.
Because they never seem to disappear.
Should I see them just as good or bad.
Or has finally this crazy lonely old man.
Gone completely barking bloody mad.

No not necessarily mad .. I'm pretty sure we all have them .. we call em our conscience around these here parts .. its only when they start telling you to do things against your will or better judgement and might be dangerous that its time to start thinking along other lines .. Oh the malady of minds that work overtime; thinking, creating, imagining. They share with us some of the greatest inventions, works of art, music, or just good times. But the torture of these thoughts that speak things so incessantly become a burden to bare at times. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyable and in my case relatable.
