Freedom Flight

Tune: Hursley

('Sun of my soul, thou Saviour dear')

Psalm 124

******

If it had not been the Lord who

Was on our side, it would be true

That our enemies would have sure

Devoured till we be no more

Their anger against us would show

Water our soul would overflow

Waters of pride, hatred of men

They would have o'ercome, drowned us then

Blessed be the Lord, for He has not

Given us to them, but our lot

Is that our soul it is escaped

As a bird, and we not disgraced

Set free as a bird from the snare

Of the hunters who set traps there

For the snare is broken and we

Are escaped, the Lord our help be
