RAINDROP

nephilim56

The rain drop
That caresses glass
Reflects
An inner eye
Rolling to
Oblivion
Dried and gone
As tears cried.

The angry cloud
Which delivered
Has more infants
Waterbound
To fall upon
Lifes living
To hit hard
Dampened ground.

A celestial
Merry go round
That asks nothing
Cares even less
Not bitter
Nor rejoicing
Just a raindrop
A kiss.

A beautiful poem to got lost inside of, in spite of some heavy hitting spots. A triumph! 🙏🏻🕊️

Aye, I hear you... I have several on the sidelines that are still waiting their turn and I am a bit afraid that that opportunity may never occur. Wouldn't wish that trepidation on others, but here we are. 🙏🏻🕊️

Some beautiful imagery here nicely worded and lands upon the reader's ear like a kiss

Hauntingly provocative, thank you very much for posting this pretty little, rather laden number. Since the Scriptures seem to contradict its assessment in concluding, I'll leave it at that. Fascinating and excellently rendered with lovely imagery. Thank you for sharing.

I like your poems like this. Short stanzas, off rhymes and beauty in the words. Thanks for the read.
