In the Desert

Mutley Ravishes

Tempting serpent of Eden

How often we've been meeting!

I know your medicine

Is only a temporary

Heaven

Yet, by you I so often

Get toasted

So I asked my pal Moses

To uplift you.

Hmm. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a damning, haunting poignancy. Intriguing and frightening. Thank you for sharing.

I love poems that are filled with double entendre's and this one is full of them. Images well set in this frame and metaphor as well. So nicely constructed in so few words it is definately a fave
