Notice of absence from NinjaGirl
Hi everyone! I have been gone for a while, I donβt know if any of you all have noticed, but I apologize for not leaving a notice anyway. I will be gone for a while. I am not done writing poetry, and I have not given up. But I will be away for some time. I expect to return around 2028. Not sure if any of you guys will see this, but thank you for reading my poetry. Please do not worry, I will be okay! I look forward to returning!

Early embers
Early morning
Left over from the fire last night
The arsonist is long gone by now
My house
All ruined
But you haven't killed me yet
Somehow I make it out alive again
Embers remain
Years later
They still burn me quite often
It wasn't the arsonist's intention
But it was his fault

A very clever use of a powerful metaphor to achieve a feeling of past passion that has fallen to ash but still evokes burning pains. Brilliant one of your best a definate fave
