your cigarette smoke consumes me
filling my heart with your fumes
burning my eyes
causing little droplets to build up walls,
blocking my view of anything other than you
my brain has crumbled to a small mound of dust
my fingers are stiff
because I know they won't be touching your pale skin
you showed me what it was to be loved
to be wanted and cherished
but I was simply a moth drawn to a blue light
who am I to love if not you?
who will love me if not you?

This is top rate poetry. Penned with so much feeling. Fabulous metaphors. You are an artist with a pen . Well done.
A poem that oozes with need for love. Who will love you if not this one the answer is you yourself. A most wonderful poem of feelings we all have to a lessor or greater extent.
