ANXIETY

Tristan Robert Lange

Always on edge in a world of assholes
Never minding their propensity for
Xanthic perspectives poisoning the air
Irrevocably—a suffocation
Eternal for those whose nerves are haywire.
Trepidation consumes the mind and soul;
Yet, the world cares not—it keeps piling on.

    Very relatable, well said!

Indeed the world keeps turning. A great write telling us in our arrogance and disregard that we are nothing but dust and it will keep going regardless or in spite of us. Nicely said

Thank you, Soren. Your time and feedback are always much appreciated, my friend!

I has to navigate both the interstate and lesser roads with the same characters mentioned above harassing me endlessly, as well as life and after that don't know what to tell you. Fascinatingly rendered with excellent imagery and heartbreaking poignancy, thank you for sharing. Hang in there for me, please.

I hear you! LOL! Thank you so much, my friend! Always appreciated! Hanging in, I promise! 🤗❤️🙏

So true, just when you think it cannot get any worse in your head, someone comes along with another lorry load of crap to dump on you. Hit a cord and will do with many, great write

Grrr! lol. I was unsure of 'xanthic' meaning. When I tried to look it up, it requested a dictionary subscription - money-grabbers!

            • Tristan Robert Lange

All of that for a word that simply means yellowish...like jaunice. LOL! Thank you for your read. Those X words, you know? 🤷‍♂️

              Anxiety
              I guess you’re
              Always gonna get me
              Until this entity
              I believe to be me
              Is extinguished!

I never heard the word “xanthic” before! Is it from Greek?
Anxiety - surely one of our greatest tests?
              Interesting write, Tristan.

Yes, the root word for xanthic is xanthos, meaning yellow. Xanthic is "yellowish", as in jaundice. Thank you, my friend! Much appreciated! 🙏❤️

Nice use of Xanthic here! Have to dig up the file wherein xanthine features in one write, haven’t used it since, lol… wonder why (?) Apologies for not getting to this earlier, my schedules changed around this week… still confused 🙏🏻🕊

No need for apologies my friend. I am always grateful anytime you stop by. Yeah, xanthic...such an oft' used word! 🤣 Though, to be honest, it should be. It's a cool word! LOL! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! ❤️🙏

                      • arqios

Won’t argue against its coolness! I think Xanadu did a bit for it as well… but maybe, that’s just me 😊🕊️

LOL! No, not just you! 🤣

Well, I had to try 🤣
