Is it me? I can only do what I can do.
It's not desperate, just a little thin, this financial situation I find myself in.
So, off to the bank, with coins, to cash them in-
I go to my bank: well, I am not that surprised;
Both machines not in service.
I drove twenty miles!
Not just to cash my megar stash,
But have a feed, when I get the cash.
So, not perturbed, off I trott, across the mail, to the other spot.
It's a better bank(if that's possible), but today it was absolutely colossal!
The bag I took was full of silver(you know the fake stuff, that is really nickel)
I have pilfered all the gold(fake again) over a period of time, so if I got forty bucks that would be fine.
I am a bit dim witted, when it come to most things, but as the pennies dropped it was time to sing-
Apparently, according to the machine, I did have some gold!
Final tally, one hundred and fifty six!
Is it praise the Lord?
Or fiddle sticks?
I won't know for sure until Monday.

So, traded in some shrapnel, it would seem. Most post offices are now ‘deputised” banking teller machines, by the big 4 and a couple of others.
I used the teller machine, and probably will again!
I try using EFTPOS terminals whenever possible.
How times have changed. The bank used to give you coin rolls and you would go home count and roll your own, then the banks had coin counters and the teller would take your change and it would be automatically counted, then they would no longer take large amounts of change and change machines cropped up counting your coins for a percentage fee. Now even they are hard to find. A fun read
It will be a miracle if they don\'t notice, their better than poker machines, but don\'t like to lose, I suspect.
I am not good at counting, but can roll my own.
Wow. How shockingly delightful! How delightfully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting yet waltzing poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing!
I'll drink to that!
I'd recommend tea, but as the saying most correctly goes, "It's [?] not my cuppa tea," whence, enjoy!
I am taking your advice, for now.
