To Fight Another Day ...

Kurt Philip Behm

Their shouts remain

as hope reclaimed

the smoke still

on the beach

The roars that hide

of those who died

yet heard

within the breach

A spirit roams

within the bones

of men

who went beyond

In freedom’s quest

to give their best

in times

— forever long

    Kurt,

Your piece has a strong, solemn rhythm which evokes a deep sense of remembrance & sacrifice.

You paint a vivid picture of the battlefield enhancing the moments of struggle. The brevity of each stanza gives the poem a sharp, haunting quality that fits its theme of loss & resilience. Your flow feels natural & not forced.

    A touching & evocative piece.

As always, a solid piece of writing,

    regards

    Ma5on
