Tune: Duke Street
('Fight the good fight')
Psalm 70
*********
Make haste, O God, to come save me
Make haste to help me, my strength be
Let my enemies be ashamed
Be confused, they I have them named
Let them be turned back, not prosper
They who would confound me for sure
Let all those that seek you rejoice
Be glad in you, praise with one voice
Let such as love your salvation
Praise your name, from whate'er nation
But think on me, I poor, needy
Save me and help me speedily

Love this one Orchi. In each of our minds aren't we all needy? I know I could use a little help to pay the bills, tidy up the place, give me a lift, plan a nice vacation somewhere a little more extravagant than where I'm at. lol
Thank you SB.
Quite the wedding hymn, Orchi! LOL! All jokes aside, this is a wonderful hymn-poem reminding us what true religion is. Well done! 🌹👏
Heehee. Thanks T. We also had the less well known hymn: 'Through the night (and day!) of doubt and sorrow'. lol.
A plea for help Orchi. Well penned stanzas as usual. Spiritually uplifting for those with a faith. You mentioned weddings and KP. You old romantic:)
Thank you Cassie. lol.
Good one Orchi, I too recognise the hymn at your wedding, LOL
Andy
Thank you Gold. lol.
Everything is relative isn't it .. poor and needy is also relative & of course subjective too .. justice, fairness & truth comprise the trilogy I subscribe to .. and why were we not invited eh'
Why yes, I'm poor and needy since marrying KP! lol.
