(Don't) Leave me!

Melancholia

Memories screaming in my brain

My body is shaking in pain

Doubts crawling through my veins

Only love for you remains

All reasons for leaving you behind

Washed away by endless tears

Forming a river of self-pity

Embracing my uncertain mind

For admitting the truth I wasn’t prepared

Rather chose the easy way out

Shattered your trust into pieces

Too small to ever be repaired

To perfection I wanted to strive

Now I feel so undeniably flawed

Why are your words still echoing

Where peace and freedom should thrive?

I take a deep breath and dive

Hold my breath and close my eyes

Ascend to a world where I

No longer need to justify

A feel of loss in this poem and a reaching out. Very nicely expressed in most poetic style

I sense the pain of losing someone possibly because of their own doing, now reaching out to explain their reason and action, very well written
