Nothing to See Here, Folks.

Cheeky Missy

.for a loop.

Forsooth, the Snowstorm Threw Me

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCXLVI)

Ah, fainting heart, lift up thine eyes; see thence
Erst naked trees now winking 'spite the tale
Of snow all 'round, the sparrows playing t'avail
Now underfoot as if tae woo's from hence
In style, like Valentines Day knew, defense
Among the birds who'll build their nests to scale
For young ere you e'en know, or flowrs detail
The walk with colour for good cheer, and scents.
Was't inches of the white stuff which in tour
Were not e'en ploughed what turned thy head? What's new?
Ole Feb'ry calls for snow at times as t'were,
But that is Spring's wont. For, behold in blue
Heavns how the light is April's, birds astir
And courting underfoot as all 'gain woo.

insanely busy.

Is't That I'm Far too Busied?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCXLVII)

It is a Spring storm like they used to hail
These heavy snows where buds half wink for sense
Betwixt the weight of what is melting hence
Afore we realize, whilst, beleageured, frail
With heart's 'non sinking 'neath that chill detail,
We faint, despite the birds' sweet cries' defense.
For see how puddles gather for intents
Ere sunny warmth yields up what'd now avail.
How could I thus forget and play as t'were
The fool in thinking that Spring's courting through
These past four weeks meant flowrs would 'merge in tour
'Fore Illinois could augur such as due.
Erst wont to note the birds 'spite snow astir,
Why did I now forget? LORD, I need You.
