No Tick. No Tock.

no tick. no tock.

no more the badger dams it's 2 O'clock.

each tree no more a forest

than the ham that boils in honey

while the steadfast breed their solitary green.

no landscape stands more dull than king or queen.

my eyelids stand more placid

than the acid on my tongue.

the long haul to the wait.

breakfast comes through the flowers of the stars.

when all is done, no scars have we

now mother Mary hangs beside

the frozen eggs that bleed no honesty.

be silent, be descreet.

there are twelve old men with Sunday in their eyes!

it is deep within

where seven shades of sin show compromise

and follow path to the silver and the din.

I take no pleasure from the marvel of your chin,

I made nothing of the you I carried once.

Well Melvin this one did take me down the rabbit hole uninvited and so I soon found that Alice does not live there anymore. Another fun read

And so nobody was late to the party. What a magnificent poem. On a journey into this wonderland on the mind of Melvin. Kudos and then some. 🌹

Oh, my friend, this is brilliance all the way around, and it rings so amazingly! I am always glad to jump down any rabbit hole you provide, Melvin! Bravo! 👏🌹

Line after line, a journey through your muse’s mind. So much to take in along the way.

The rabbit hole is yours and yours alone, and it seems you are ok with Alice not living there any more.

An intriguing write Melvin as most of your unique poetry is. Have a happy weekend.
