Do you ever get nostalgia?
Do you ever feel the feeling of being lost?
Do you ever feel something familiar but long forgot?
The sun on your face or a breeze drifting by,
Does it remind you of the days you didn’t try?
Does trying take away all those things you used to have?
Does it cause you to feel as if you’ve lost the child that was always there?
That feeling of long lost love,
The feeling of what used to be or what was.
That child is still there,
You just buried her deep,
You tried to push her away,
You were the monster under the bed while she was trying to sleep.
She’s still there,
Why do you think you have circles under your eyes?
She just knows where to hide,
The places where your vision is blind.
She is waiting for you to seek her out,
Waiting for when your ready to hang out,
For when you no longer care to try,
For when you're ready to just be who you are inside.
Do you ever get nostalgia?
The wish to be that child again, even just for a while?

I think we all at times look back to being a child again, some people think as we age we do revert back to our childhood behaviour, enjoyed the read
Nostalgia is such a common thing and seems to grow stronger as we grow older. Nicely written
yes it does strike at times, but one learns to be happy for the present moment and enjoy life
