In The End It’s You I Hold Dear

Bloomingdale

In the quest to keep us together I pushed us apart

In the quest to acquire your love, I lost your presence

Unlike you I’m an imperfect being with imperfections

But the heavens and earth can bear witness to the love I have for you

I lose myself in those beautiful eyes of yours

Drown in your allure

Every smile every laugh and every gaze reshapes my soul

Happiness never held a meaning till you were involved

The mystery of what we shared is something I still can’t solve

With the intent of love, I brought you pain

With the intent to heal you I broke you

Every right move I made was wrong

And even the wrong moves were still wrong

Although we were both opposite sides

We couldn’t attract

When the heavens seek you and do not find you, they search my heart cause you’re still there

In the end it’s u I hold dear

This poem says that we don't have to be alike or opposites to love and so it is love chooses its own. A lovely write
