Enough of me, eh?
I'm Snookered and Quite Happy Too
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCXLIX)
If I am reconciled to Spring's detail
Of snow and ice by half, because fr'intents
The eye of Spring yet winks at me from hence,
To keep the fragile ghost of hope in frail
Excuse alive, seems I kin bear, nor fail
Afore the onslaught, for I have defense,
A month of playful measures no pretense,
Jist how it is, as sparrows sweetly hail.
The deejay said twas oercast, yet in tour
We had blue skies with golden light tae do
Our souls good 'spite the chill. I'm learning fer
All that what IS Spring after all, as't woo
Likeas a lover whose romance'd bestir
Mair subtly, then quite boldly. What is new?

...and even that won't do.
Ho, Ho Kid, Pull A Double, Yes?
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCL)
Blue heavns sans blot til noon drags clouds fr'intents
Across the face of freighted Monday, hail
What in the busyness and calm t'avail?
If only we'd a soundtrack for the sense
Of yonder or aught else, and chess' defense
To keep our minds sharp 'spite the drag, for bail
And cheer, you know? Suggest the grand detail
To find agreement, where we've nothing thence.
Freeze on my break cuz warming up as t'were
The car when you'd forebear to drive won't do
Much for the hope of drastic heat where's poor
To be outdoors cuz it's by far now too,
Too cold. Call up my friend who's busied, her
Return call but brief mintues. LORD, where to?

I love it
Oh, thank you! You're too kind!
Enjoyed, for sure, Missy. Well done! 🌹👏
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You're welcome!
A great line "Frightened Monday" and a fun read of the persistence of cold
Sparrows always seem so joyful, don't they?
Yes, that's why we're such friends.
Loved the reads, enjoy the rest of your day
Thank you so very much!
You are very welcome
I love em both Missy but most of all, I reckon, I love bestest how you near simultaneously depict and reminisce on the persistence of approach and advances and associated technique of former lovers .. and indeed, how they become juxtaposed against a pretty backcloth of Spring .. I am near overcome .. Neville
Is that the modern terminology you recommend I utilize, eh? But it IS a perfect romance and expertly drawn suit annually, isn't it though? Thank you so, so very much!
