It's one of those days
one swipe of mascara
slather lotion quickly
It's one of those days
black sweat set
a frizzy unkempt bun
It's one of those days
eating bags of chocolate
testing my luck
It's one of those days
Where the universe is against you

Superb. Honestly, this is too perfect. If only the whole world could see this, it'd resonate with countless. Excellently rendered with awesome imagery and an exquisite poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Hahaha it's "perfect" because it's so not perfect!
No it is just called entropy. All a matter of perspective and winding down. Fun read
You know, that is the third time I've heard the word "entropy" today. I think the universe and God are trying to tell me something... The first was in a physics sense, the second in a song, and the third here.
This made me smile. Some days it does feel as though the universe is against you! We all have to face such times. A poem I'm sure most people can readily relate to!
Haha thank you! Yes, it's one of those days!
good poem
Morihei Ueshiba once said, "I am the universe." Now, that's not something you hear everyday!
If he's the universe, he's got some explaining to do!
Well, I don't think he was talking about "little I"!
good
It really was one of those days. Hence my rabbit hole adventure this morning! š¤£ Well expressed, my friend. Right there with you, minus the mascara and bun (no hair...its sadly a thing). š¹š
Oof having no hair might be worse than this poem... and I thought I had a bad day! Maybe mascara on your head will make your hair longer lol
LOL! Yes, that could work! š¤£ Until I sweat anyway!
Chocolate is a great soother and comfort on those days when everything else sucks. Hope you have better days ahead. Enjoyed your poem. Iām a chocolate lover.
Haha thank you!
Great, I feel bad being a man sometimes as we don't generally have any pressure like this.
True, there will always be different consequences and pressures
Bless you, hugs.
