People in England used to be much happier,
Lying defeated in a gravel pit of billed paper.
Sentiments are spoiled with nasty sarcasm,
Evil spirits rising around within ectoplasm.
So much tension, stress, arguing and animosity,
Why did God make me different than most I see?

A questioning poem that is thought provoking. Very nicely written
Appreciate it.
It is certainly not how it used to be, the rapid decline of community spirit and being kind to each other, distant memories, this write nailed it on the head
It is sad yes, thank you.
You are very welcome
If they keep us divided, we won't fight against the real problem, we'll fight against each other...
Yes indeed, very true, they are succeeding so far.
The last line is a good question. It's saddening, even infuriating, and yet it promises liberation. The Power Law is the only "reason" I'm aware of as to why things are the way they are with most folks. I like the picture too! One day I'll have (receive?!) the strength to face that Minotaur within.
Thank you, I guess I thought it was a demon or Baphomet instead of a Minotaur lol. Oh yes power corrupts.
