Stay forever young
Not a decrepit trooper
Or steadfast party pooper
Like me;
Stay innocent and unbowed
Undiminished and proud,
That's the way that you should be;
Stay with wide eyes,
Laughter and cries,
But never filled with pain;
With a sense of wonder
Not a temper like thunder
Where bleary skies chase the rain;
Stay spring-heeled and dancing
Skipping and joyously prancing
Where no shadows ever roosted;
Your sun never to set
Or memory to forget,
By youth forever boosted;
Transfix time on the dial
Turn to inches the mile,
Your song always to be sung;
An oak that will never splinter
Spring never turn to Winter
Stay forever young

A great message and well written. Very nice
A very positive message in a lovely piece of writing, enjoyed the read
Poetically expressed! We should all strive to keep our inner child alive and kicking, whatever our age!
A sure anthem when everything surrounding us and within us ages us so terribly quickly 🕊🙏🏻
Great rhyme and meter. I enjoyed reading this work.
